What This Film Is

Beyond the Bend follows Christian Adams, an 18-year-old young man who believes God has called him to serve as a missionary in Alaska.

He is not asking whether he will obey. He is asking where that obedience will take root.

During an 800-mile journey along the Yukon River, Christian steps into real ministry alongside experienced missionaries, witnessing firsthand what long-term faithfulness requires.

This film follows his search for clarity and the weight of choosing where to anchor his life.

Why This Story Matters

Many young men express a willingness to serve God. Fewer commit to a path that requires endurance.

We are not interested in producing a film that creates temporary emotion. We are interested in telling a story that normalizes long-term obedience — the kind that stays when the work becomes difficult and ordinary.

Christian’s journey reflects a broader question facing a generation: Where will you plant your life, and will you remain there?

Why We Are Making This Film

Our Vision
We believe stories shape direction. If churches desire young men who will preach, shepherd, and serve faithfully for decades, then we must be intentional about the stories we elevate.

Our Mission

This project is being produced through Bible Tracts, Inc., a ministry committed to “The Word of God to All The World.” Beyond the Bend exists to strengthen churches by encouraging serious, thoughtful, long-term commitment to God’s calling.

What Makes This Film Different

This is not a travel documentary.

It is not an adventure film.

It is not a highlight reel of ministry activity.

It is a quiet, steady look at what it means to seek clarity and commit for the long haul.

The camera will not chase spectacle. It will follow a young man wrestling honestly with the direction of his life.

Production Timeline

Filming is already underway. The full Yukon River expedition is scheduled for July 2026, with post-production and distribution to follow.
