In July 2026, the expedition will travel approximately 800 miles along the Yukon River, visiting remote villages between Nenana and Mountain Village with the goal of sharing the Gospel.
The Yukon River serves as a lifeline for dozens of remote communities scattered across Western Alaska. Many of these villages are accessible only by river or air.
This is not tourism. It is ministry carried out in places where faithfulness requires presence.
The Route
800 miles by river
16 remote villages
Daily travel and outreach
Evenings focused on preaching, teaching, and encouragement
Long stretches on the water create space for reflection. Village stops create opportunities for real ministry.
Ministry in Context
This expedition builds upon years of steady missionary labor in Alaska.
The outreach efforts are not isolated events. They are part of long-standing partnerships between missionaries and indigenous believers who have invested consistently in these communities.
The goal is not a moment of visibility, but continued faithfulness.
Young Men Seeking Direction
Christian is not alone in asking God for clarity.
Several young men will participate in this expedition, each wrestling with questions about ministry, preaching, and long-term service.
The film follows Christian’s journey specifically, but the broader environment reflects a generation seeking direction.
Why This Expedition Matters
For Christian, this journey is not about adventure.
It is about proximity.
Proximity to faithful men.
Proximity to real ministry.
Proximity to the cost of long-term obedience.
It is one step in discerning where he will anchor his life.
